Marvin Harlan Dewitt

Marvin H. DeWitt, formerly of Cozad, passed away Monday, October 26, 2020 at Lexington Regional Health Center at the age of 76. Marvin was born February 20, 1944 in Cozad, Nebraska to Cyril and Evalou (Weatherly) DeWitt. He started working at Monroe Auto / Tenneco Automotive on May 9, 1966 until his retirement on November 4, 2009. Marvin loved working on cars with his son and was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. He enjoyed camping and spending time with his family and extended family. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Monte Ray DeWitt and Levi Weible; sister-in-law, Kathy DeWitt and brother-in-law, James Kirby. Survivors include his 3 children, Ruth (David) Harvill of Cozad, Marvin 'Bubba' (Stacy) DeWitt of Lexington and Kathy (Jeremy) Pickering of Central City; grandchildren, Mark, Todd and Andrea, Aubri and Mason, Quintin, Hunter, Rebeccah, Katelyn, Kevin and Aubrey, Lane, Zoey; great grandchildren, Izzy, Christopher, Arian, Destiny, Rolland, Remmi, Trayvin, William, Jeremiah, Avelyn; brother, Ron DeWitt of CA; sisters, Sheila (Tim) Kirby of CA and Jennine Kirby of CA; brothers, Cecil Weible of KS, Charles Weible of KS and Robert Weible of CA; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family in his name for later designation. Services will be held Monday, November 2, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Susan Sukraw officiating. Burial will follow at Cozad Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be Sunday, November 1, 2020 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Berryman Funeral Home.
