Moses Sharep Joshua, age 59, was born on June 1, 1966, in Chuuk. He peacefully passed away on December 23, 2025, at Kearney Regional Hospital, surrounded by love and faith.
Moses was a devoted husband, father, pastor, and servant of God. He lived a life rooted deeply in strong Christian faith and answered God’s calling by service as a pastor, dedicating his life to sharing the Word and bringing people closer to Christ. His faith was not only spoken—it was lived daily through his kindness, humility, and unwavering love for others.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Mimirina Shirai. He leaves behind his cherished children: his sons Gioster Shirai, Jhirmick Shirai, Sercky Joshua, Likeme Shirai, Pah Say and his daughters Suemi Sharep, Jenny Joshua, Annmarie Joshua, Suemalee Joshua, and Gilda I Shirai. He was a loving grandfather to Mekida Meianne Rong, Soraya Shirmilita Shirai, and Grace Mitchell Joshua, who brought him great joy.
He is also lovingly remembered by his goddaughters Dikeison Joshua (Davita) and Tiffany Joshua, as well as many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly and treated as his own. He was one of seven siblings and was deeply loved by his three brothers and 3 sisters.
Known for his big heart, Moses had a rare gift for bringing people together. He loved his family, his church, and his community deeply, and his presence made others feel welcomed, valued, and united. He was a peacemaker, a mentor, and a source of strength to many. His life reflected God’s love, and his legacy will continue through the countless lives he touched.
A funeral service will be held Monday, January 12, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Cozad Cemetery.
Though Moses has gone home to be with the Lord, his faith, love, and spirit will live on forever in the hearts of all who know and loved him.
