Millie enjoyed her family, her grandchildren and her many great-grandchildren, playing bridge and other card games. Millie was an avid gardener and spent many hours caring for her beautiful flowers and faithfully feeding her birds.

After retirement, Millie loved baking oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and German pretzels to share with residents of the Elwood Care Center, visitors to the Senior Center, neighbors, family, and friends.

Millie suffered a stroke in March 2022 and after her release from the hospital, she made her home at Meadowlark Pointe in Cozad, Nebraska. Millie moved to the Elwood Care Center in April 2023 where she lived until present.
