Lucille F. Parrett of Cozad passed away Monday, July 1, 2019, surrounded by her family, at Gothenburg Memorial Hospital at the age of 79. She was born December 11, 1939 in Gothenburg, Nebraska to Herbert and Freda (Buss) Parsons. On January 2, 1960, Lucille married Robert Parrett at his parents home in Gothenburg. They were blessed with two children, Glen 'Ernie' and Kathy. Lucille and Robert loved their life together as a couple. They lived in various places in Nebraska and Minnesota, before moving back to Cozad following retirement. Lucille was a skilled seamstress, making bridal gowns for JP Originals in Fremont, Nebraska, that shipped all over the world. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Lucille was an amazing cook and loved spoiling her family with amazing meals. Her most treasured times were spent with family. She was fascinated with genealogy, spending several years creating a book of their family history. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Melvin, Don, Dwyane, Kenney, Sharon, Ronald and Raymond. She is lovingly survived by her husband, Robert; children, Glen 'Ernie' (Connie) Parrett of Rochester, MN and Kathy Parrett of Fremont; 5 grandchildren, Brian (Lauren) Parrett of Rochester, MN, Sara (Ramses) Morales of Camp Lejeune, NC, Anna Parrett of St. Charles, MN, Nicole (David) Valdivia of Northglenn, CO and Heather (Shane) Svoboda of Rogers, NE; 5 great grandchildren, Syrus, Misty and Kelli Svoboda, Hudson Parrett and Eva Valdivia; brothers, Harold (Lorene) Parsons of Gothenburg, Larry (Connie) Parsons of Great Bend, KS, Gene (Shirley) Parsons of Cozad and Dick Parsons of Gothenburg; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Memorials and condolences can be sent directly to the family at PO Box 201, Cozad, Nebraska 69130. Berryman Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
