Lillian F. Krason of Cozad passed away peacefully on Monday, October 27, 2025 at Emerald Care in Cozad at the age of 97.
She was born on February 14, 1928, in Burwell, Nebraska, to Vincent and Mary (Mach) Hlavica. Lillian graduated from Burwell High School with the class of 1947. On July 27, 1949, she married Robert Krason in Burwell. Together, they created a warm and nurturing home in Cozad during the early 1950s, where they raised their children with care and kindness.
A faithful and devoted member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Lillian found strength and community within her faith. She was a longtime member of the Altar Society, where she contributed her time and commitment for many years.
Lillian was known for her love of crochet and needlework. She had a green thumb, enjoying the simple pleasures of tending to her flowers and garden. As a wonderful cook, she delighted in baking and often canned her garden's bounty, sharing her culinary creations with family and friends.
Among her proudest accomplishments was taking care of her grandchildren, a role she cherished deeply. She was a beloved figure to many, her life marked by love, faith, and dedication.
Survivors include her children, Barbara (Bill) Younghans of Hershey, Jim (Laurel) Krason of Kearney, Gary (Teresa) Krason of NV, Ron Krason of CA, Steve (Barbara) Krason of CA, Mike Krason of CO, David Krason of VA, Gloria Krason of Lincoln, Tim (Ruth) Krason of Lincoln, Greg Krason of CO, Melissa (Yancy) Werner of Cozad; grandchildren, Shayne (Hilary) Younghans, Karrie (Rich) Bodwell, Mindy (Ben) Ebmeier, Candace (Curtis) Nichelson, Deidra (Kaleb) Rice, Andrew (Robyn) Younghans, Joshua (Cassey) Younghans, Travis (August) Krason, Tyler Krason, Talisha (Andrew) Sorenson, Dawn Krason, Brandi Krason, Kyle (Ronni) Krason, Mycah Krason, Bryce (Kikina) Krason, Jordon (Rebecca) Krason, Ryan (Lorin Lima) Krason, Ashley (Owen) Moody, Jeremy (Kristen) Krason, Donna (Mo)Six, Trevor Krason, Taylor (Bryce) DeGraca, Kaitlyn (Trevor) Seely, Haley (Schuyler Brush) Werner, Austin Werner, Alex Werner; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandchildren, Braden Werner, Teynor Krason and Liam Krason, Jeriamiah Sonny Krason, Nicole Ann Krason; siblings, Frank (Virginia) Hlavica, Wilma (Lee) Nelson and Thelma Hlavica, and daughter in law, Rita Krason.
Memorials are suggested to the Cozad Grand Generation Center, Central Plains Home Health and Hospice or Christ the King Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, November 3, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Ravi Gudipalli as celebrant. Burial will follow at Cozad Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. with Rosary recited at 5 p.m. at Berryman Funeral Home.
