Kenneth E. Willets passed away April 12, 2019 at his home in Cozad at the age of 66. Kenneth was born June 2, 1952 in Lexington, Nebraska to Keith and Ruth (Kirwan) Willets. He graduated from Elwood High School with the class of 1970 and attended Hastings Community College. He married Amy Beavers on December 11, 1981 and together they had a son, Eric. Kenneth worked for several Hay Mills in Dawson County and the surrounding area for over 41 years before his retirement. He enjoyed fishing and tinkering with cars. Kenneth was an avid reader and loved his Husker football team. He loved to tease his nieces and nephews and was always the favorite uncle.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Willets; niece, Sheri Willets; nephew, Edward Willets; great niece, Zella Shirley and great nephew, Ezekial Kostman. Survivors include his son, Eric Willets of Gothenburg; father, Keith Willets of Elwood; sisters, Sandra (David) Nienkamp of Edgar and Patricia Luck of Lexington; brothers; John (Connie) Willets of Cozad and Bill Willets of Elwood; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Online condolences may be shared at berrymanfuneralhome.com. Memorials can be directed to the family in his name for later designation. Memorial services will be held Thursday, April 18, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation was chosen. Burial will be at Elwood Cemetery. Those wishing to sign the memorial book may do so on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Berryman Funeral Home.
