Judy Lou Wilson

Judy L. Wilson passed away Friday, December 1, 2023 at her home in Cozad at the age of 63. Judy was born September 29, 1960 at Kearney, Nebraska to Harvey and Phyllis (Bickford) Wilson. Judy was blessed with one child, Tommy. She lived in Cozad and worked at Monroe Auto and later Dayton Phoenix in Gothenburg.

Judy enjoyed bowling, fishing, traveling, watching Husker Football, making Christmas candy, collecting elephant figurines and Diet Coke. Judy’s pure enjoyment came from playing with dogs, especially Cocker Spaniels and spending time with family.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Survivors include her son Tommy (Esther) Wilson of Chadron; sister, Mary (Gaylord) Stauffer of Lincoln; brother, Casey (Deanne) Wilson of Cozad; nieces and nephews, Zachary (Abigail) Stauffer, Kayla Stauffer, Jeff Stauffer, Christina Stauffer, Heather Wilson (Luke), Cody (Shelbie) Wilson, Jarod, Kristine and Timmy Wilson; great nieces and nephews, Bentley Wilson, Elijah Ross, Faith Ross, and Waylon; as well as beloved pets.

Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation. Services will be Friday, December 8, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kathy Gundell officiating. Burial will be at Cozad Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be Thursday, December 7, 2023 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Berryman Funeral Home.
