Joe Louie Maestas

Joe L. Maestas passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at his home in Cozad at the age of 87. Joe was born January 13, 1936 at Las Vegas, New Mexico to Macedonio and Francis (Arranda) Maestas. He was proud of the time he served his country in the U.S. Army and Army National Guard. Joe drove chopper for many years for local haymills. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Marie Romero and Alice Maestas; brother, Bonney Maestas; and long time companion, Bessie Garrison. Joe is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

A private family graveside service will be held at Cozad Cemetery with Military Honors.
