Harold A. Neill of Cozad passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Hilltop Estates in Gothenburg at the age of 96. Harold was born in Pawnee City, Nebraska on August 15, 1925 to Everett and Esther (Peckham) Neill. He graduated from Barnston High School in 1943 and graduated from Northwestern University in 1946 while serving in the Navy. On August 30, 1947 he married Jacqueline Beisner in Lincoln, Nebraska. Harold and Jackie were blessed with all boys and enjoyed going to the boys’ sporting events.  Harold loved being a salesman/manager for Butterfields, Coopers and Master Mix. When not on the road for work, he could be found playing cards with Ike Paulsen. Besides his love of cribbage, gin rummy, pinochle, and bridge, he was a passionate Husker fan. He loved being around people and never met a stranger.  In retirement, to lose a few pounds, he walked all over Cozad.  He didn’t coffee with other men, but he didn’t mind dropping in while they were working to visit. As age got the better of him and he couldn’t get out and about, Harold was glad to have visitors. You never left the house without him saying, “Come back when you can stay awhile.”  Harold was preceded in death by his parents, sister Doris Sherer, and 2 brothers, Dean and Kenny Neill. Harold is survived by his loving wife, Jacqueline, brother David (Mary) Neill from Pawnee City, sister-in-law, Janice Peel of Indianapolis, and brother-in-law John (Char) Beisner of Ames, Iowa, 7 sons, Roger (Glenda) Neill of Cozad, Wade (Diane) Beisner of Orleans, David (Patti) Neill of Cozad, Eric (Diana) Beisner of Hastings, John (Marsha) Neill of Omaha, Patrick (Denise) Neill of Kearney and Michael (Debbie) Neill of Cozad, 15 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and friends.
