Evelyn Leona Bartlett

Evelyn Leona Bartlett (nee Allen), age 94, died on Friday, September 3, 2021 at Meadowlark Pointe in Cozad, Nebraska. She was born on a farm near Berwyn, Nebraska on August 27, 1927 to Walter and Lola (Ellis) Allen. She was the youngest of 4 children. She graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1945. She married Clark Fox in 1946 and together they had two sons, Rodney and Reggie. They moved to Cozad in 1961 and while here she was a secretary for many years at First Federal Savings and Loan. She moved to Meadowlark Pointe in 2013 and made many friends while there. She was a member of the Gothenburg Methodist Church, Cozad Does, and the Legion Auxiliary Post #64 Gothenburg. She is preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters Hazel Vance and Mildred Best, 1 brother Claris Allen; and husbands Clark Fox, Jack Davis and Ward Bartlett. She is survived by 2 sons Rodney Fox of McCook and Reggie (Lisa) Fox of Cozad; 3 granddaughters Ronda (Tad) Stumpf of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Deanna (Scott) Johnson of McCook, and Lexi (Andy) Wichelt of Hastings, and only 1 grandson Lance Fox of Kearney; great grandchildren Jaima Watson, Allison Johnson, Hayden Johnson, Cale Johnson, Dani Johnson, Jordyn Wichelt and Sydney Wichelt; extended family Pat and Conny Yeutter, Courtney (Seth) Terrell, and Cressey Yeutter; nieces and nephews and many friends. Memorials are suggested to the family in her name for later designation. Online condolences may be shared at berrymanfuneralhome.com. Services will be held Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. with visitation from 12:30 p.m. until service time at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jill Boyd officiating. Burial will follow at Cozad Cemetery.
