Euna May Siemering

May Siemering of Cozad passed away Thursday, April 23, 2026 at the age of 78. May was born on July 18, 1947, in Beaver, Oklahoma to Blaine and Betty (Gregory) Topinka. The family moved to Cozad, Nebraska where May graduated from Cozad High School with the class of 1966. Throughout her life, she worked various jobs, but she found great joy in babysitting for many families. She often treated those children as if they were part of her own family, showing warmth and kindness that left a lasting impression.

May married George Harvey, and together they had two sons, Stacy and Patrick. Later, on April 10, 1976, she married Dennis Siemering. Together, they had two children, Jermey and Sissy.

One of May’s greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren. She dedicated much of her time caring for and helping with them so their parents could work without worry. She loved attending as many of her grandchildren’s activities as possible, cheering them on and supporting their dreams. May also had a special talent for baking. She enjoyed making cakes for all occasions and crafted most of her grandchildren’s birthday and wedding cakes, adding a personal touch to their special days.

Even in her later years, May’s kind and caring spirit never faded. She was always trying to take care of someone, showing her gentle nature to those around her. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and friend who gave so much of herself to help others live better lives. Her presence will be missed by her family and all who knew her.

May was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dennis Siemering; brother, Coy Topinka; son, Patrick Siemering; and daughter in law, Donna Siemering.

Survivors include her sons, Stacy Siemering of Columbus and Jermey Siemering of Cozad; daughter, Sissy Marshall of Cozad; brothers, Brad Topinka of Gothenburg and Kevin (Cindy) Topinka of Cozad; grandchildren, Kayleen (Reggie) Cooper of Randolph Center, VT, Levi Siemering of Kearney, Dylan (Hannah) Siemering of Cozad, Karly (Dakota) Pooschke of Overton, Trestian (Tori) Siemering of Bremerton, WA, Taylor (Makayla) Siemering of Kearney, Cope Marshall of Mobridge, SD, Caleb Marshall of North Platte, Lorali Marshall of Brighton, CO and Zoey Trejo of Cozad; 5 great grandchildren with another on the way, Braylynn, Oakley, Owyn, Ellie and Scarlett; nephews, Nate Topinka and Cody Topinka; and nieces, Lacy McVay and Kayla Paul.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, May 10, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at 514 E. 6th Street, Cozad.
