Emerita Disus

Emerita Disus was born on July 5, 1976, in Honduras to Thomas Villeda and Antonia Lopez Vasques. She spent her early years there, growing up until the age of 14. During this time, she helped her mother care for her siblings, showing her caring nature from a young age.

In her life, Emerita worked hard, always with her daughters in mind. She loved to cook and cared deeply for everyone around her. Her dream was to see her daughters and their families living close together, united in a community in Belize.

Emerita lived in Belize for many years before moving to the United States in 2018. She was loved and cherished by her sisters, nieces, and nephews, who held a special place for her in their hearts.

She shared a special love with her grandsons, Avian, Michael, Dael, and Adael. She affectionately called them “the loves of my life.” Her kindness and dedication to family were felt by all who knew her.

Emerita Disus passed away on May 8, 2026. She will be remembered for her caring spirit, her hard work, and the love she shared with her family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
