David F. Eberline, born on March 9, 1956, to Raymond and Lola (Conway) Eberline in Cozad, Nebraska, passed away on October 17, 2025.

His early life saw him spend many years in Beatrice, NE, before he returned to his birthplace of Cozad in 1987. He quickly embraced his new surroundings, enjoying the process of settling into his new home and forging lasting friendships within the community.

David had a deep appreciation for the world around him, loving to explore nature and the community. He enjoyed discovering new places, with memorable trips including a visit to Colorado that featured a special stop at the unique Casa Bonita. Closer to home, he enjoyed local and regional attractions like the Durham Museum and the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha.

A lover of good times and good food, he especially enjoyed spicy dishes and sweet breads. He also loved the outdoors and loved playing basketball. Throughout his life, he was committed to giving back, contributing to organizations like People First of Dawson County and the Cozad United Way.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Lola; his sister, Patsy Morehead; his brother, Kent Eberline; and his brothers-in-law, Ron Morehead and Steve Buscher.

David is survived by his sister, Nina Buscher of Shawnee, KS, and his brothers, Ronald Eberline of Cozad, NE, and Steven Eberline of Wilcox, NE, along with many friends from South Central Developmental Services who will cherish his memory.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel.
