Daniel Rascon Delgado

July 4, 1998 — November 17, 2018

Daniel Rascon Delgado of Cozad passed away November 17, 2018 in Custer County, Nebraska as the result of an accident at the age of 20. Daniel was born July 4, 1998 in Cozad, Nebraska to Jose and Rosalba (Delgado) Rascon. He was welcomed home by his brother, Maney Favela and Martin Rascon. Growing up, Daniel was known for his contagious smile and love for his family, including his multiple cousins, who over time became more would become more like brothers. In his younger years you could find Daniel playing X box with his friends, or out wandering down town Cozad in an ever persisting game of ditch free willy. As Daniel got older, his love for the great outdoors did too. During the summer time, you could find free willy down at the city pool or at the lake fishing with his pals. When fall would roll around, Daniel would be dressed in camo with either his bow or gun in hand, joined by his father and brothers, in hopes to get the next monster buck. Daniel graduated from Cozad High School with the class of 2016. He was known for always checking in on the people he cared for. If you knew Daniel, you knew that friendship was a big part of him. He was the type of guy that would give you the shirt off his back, a place to stay if you had no place to go, and a good laugh was always guaranteed. During his time at Cozad High , Daniel met Chloe Lundgren, who quickly became the girl of his dreams. It didn't take long for the two to become inseparable. If you wanted to find Daniel, you could find him attending and cheering Chloe on at her sporting events. After high school, Daniel moved to Kearney to be closer to Chloe. During his move, he started a new job as floor manager with Charter Warehouse Services. He loved to work and always gave 100 percent. When he wasn't working, he would help farmers in the rural area with harvesting their crops. Farming was a strong passion of Daniels, and he always did his best to contribute. Daniel loved to spoil and spend time with his nine nieces and nephews. Examples of his time spent with them include, attending school activities, hunting, fishing, movie nights, family bbq's or playing a game of monster. His love for them was deep and never ending. Though the news of his unexpected passing is still hard to grasp, Daniel continues to send daily reminders that he is still with us. Whether it be seeing a shooting star in the night sky, or hunting down the next monster of the pastures, Daniel will always send us these reminders to insure that we are not alone and he is never far behind. Daniel was preceded in death by his grandfather, Cipriano Silva; great grandmother, Angelina Silva; and uncle, Silverio Delgado. Survivors include his parents, Jose and Rosalba Rascon of Cozad; brothers, Martin (Brooke) Rascon of Cozad, Maney (Becca) Favela of Broken Bow and Jacob Holguin of Amarillo, TX; his girlfriend, Chloe Lundgren; grandparents, Teresa and Justino Silva; nieces and nephews, Lillianna and Layla Rascon, Yvette, Cynthia, Joel, Adrian, David, Alex and Leonardo Favela; cousins, Cynthia and Nathaniel Rascon, Uriel Rascon, Jr. and Jasmine Rascon, Alfredo Valdez, Javier Chavez, Jose Monrroy Jr., Star and Paloma Monrroy, Jessica Fochtman, Aaron Sandoval, Yasmine Sandoval, Yaretzi Alvarez, Alberto Delgado, Perla Ruano, Maria Everett, Eva and Silver Delgado; and many aunts, uncles and special friends.
