Dallas Eugene Engleman

Dallas E. Engleman of Cozad passed away Monday, January 24, 2022 at Lexington Regional Health Center at the age of 58. Dallas was born April 1, 1963 at North Platte, Nebraska to Robert and Evelyn (Battershell) Engleman. He graduated from Cozad High School with the class of 1981. Following graduation, Dallas was a cook at various restaurants. He attended Mid Plains College for Auto Mechanics and UNK for computer science. Dallas enjoyed computer work, following his favorite football team, the Oakland Raiders, playing pool and taking care of his cats. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 grandson, Hunter. Survivors include his significant other, Patricia Smith of Cozad and her daughters, Chasity (Scott) Knoles of Grant and Amanda (Aaron) Hernandez of Kearney; brother, Derek (Monica) Engleman of AZ; 3 daughters, Brandi (Christopher) Boelen of CO, Angel and Piper; 11 grandchildren; his uncle, Steve (Rhonda) Battershell of Paxton; cousins, Heather and Stevie Battershell of North Platte and Theresa Downs of NC; and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins. Cremation was chosen. Berryman Funeral Home is assisting the family.
