Dale Eugene Cochrane

August 21, 1929 — November 29, 2021

Dale E. Cochrane, 92 of Eustis, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, November 29, 2021 at the Cozad Community Hospital. Dale was the 3rd oldest of eight children and was born August 21, 1929 in Cozad, Nebraska to Leonard and Addie (McKinney) Cochrane. He served in the U.S. Army from 1948 to 1952. On September 17, 1953, Dale married Beverly Bice in Lexington, Nebraska. They were married for 65 years. To this union, 5 children were born, Doug, Roy, Cathy, Marvin and Lori. They lived in many different states, as well as many different towns in Nebraska before settling in Eustis in 1967. Dale was a bee keeper for many years, worked in the oil fields, and at  Monroe Auto. He eventually became a maintenance man for the Village of Eustis until his retirement. Dale was an member of the Eustis United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; mother and father in law; 5 brothers; 2 sisters; 2 son in laws; 1 grandchild and 1 great grandchild. Survivors include his children, Doug (Tammy) Cochrane of Eustis, Roy Cochrane of Cozad; Cathy (Jeff) Warren of Pilger, NE, Marvin (Grace) Cochrane of Elwood and Lori Fletcher of Eustis; 12 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and one on the way; and one great great grand daughter; special fur friend, Titus; along with numerous extended family, relatives and friends. Memorials are suggested to the family in his name for later designation.

Services will be Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Eustis United Methodist Church. Burial with military honors will follow at Cozad Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Eustis United Methodist Church.
