Brenda Joleen Bevard

Brenda J. Bevard of Cozad passed away Monday, April 28, 2025 at Emerald Care Nursing at the age of 65. Brenda was born October 2, 1959 in Gothenburg, Nebraska to Daniel and Alice (Guyle) Bevard. Brenda lived her entire life in the Cozad area, where she touched the hearts of many with her joyful spirit and infectious laughter.

Brenda faced challenges in her early life, as she did not attend public schools due to learning disabilities. Instead, she blossomed at the Nebraska School for Trainable Children, under the caring guidance of Amelia Nicks. This nurturing environment helped her develop valuable connections and friendships, which remained a significant part of her life.

Those who had the pleasure of knowing Brenda will remember her vibrant personality. She loved to laugh and smile, bringing warmth to everyone around her. She created a special bond with the medical staff, including Dr. Murray, nurses Lorene, Ashley, and Patti, and CNA Megan. They had a unique ability to bring out the best in her, often making her laugh and smile even in tough times.

Brenda had a passion for dancing and enjoyed taking road trips, which allowed her to experience new places and create cherished memories. Her spirit will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved her.

It's truly fitting to say that it was an honor to have Brenda as a sister and friend. Her legacy of love, laughter, and connection will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Danny and Keith. She is lovingly survived by her sisters, Sheryl, Danielle and Theresa; brothers, Glen, Randy, Rick and Perry; many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
