Jason R. Kasson of Elm Creek, formerly Eustis, passed away on February 23, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney at the age of 39. Jason was born on August 13, 1978 in Gothenburg, Nebraska to Larry and Patricia (Beachel) Kasson. He grew up in Eustis and graduated from Eustis¬Farnam High School with the class of 1997. He attended Hastings Community College where he studied Auto Body. Jason became a father on December 14, 2000 to Patricia Kasson. He was a proud, loving, and caring father who cherished the moments he spent watching her grow into the beautiful young woman she is today. Jason married his wife, Amanda Beatson, in 2012 and they made their home in Elm Creek where they enjoyed spending their time together playing in pool leagues and loving their fur babies. He was an excellent welder and a hard worker who would take on any challenges set before him with enthusiasm. He worked for Chief Industries and at the Gibbon American Legion. Jason had a huge heart and cared deeply for his family and friends and was always willing to lend a hand or do anything he could to help those in need. He was always making people laugh and could turn someone's bad day around with his smile and sense of humor. He loved getting HD therapy by riding his motorcycle and played on several pool leagues between Kearney and Gibbon. Jason was a member of the Legion Squadron 310. He was preceded in death by his nephew, Gaven Kasson; grandparents Dicks and Grace Kasson and Norman and Lucielle Beachel; and uncle George Beachel.
