Robert A. Irish

Robert A. 'Bob' Irish of Cozad passed away December 2, 2017 at Cozad Community Hospital at the age of 58. Bob was born April 29, 1959 at North Platte, Nebraska to Bennett and Verna (Glenn) Irish. He grew up in Cozad, Nebraska where he attended school. On August 8, 1976, Bob married Penny Kraft in Julesburg, Colorado. The couple was blessed with a son, Travis. Bob worked for Easterday Trucking, Evans Bakery for many years and was currently with Gruber Painting. Bob was an avid Husker fan, but enjoyed supporting Cozad Haymaker teams the most. He could be tough and outspoken at times, but his family and dog Max meant everything to him. He will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bennett, Patrick, Steve and Mel; nephew, Jeremy Stephens; great nephew, Nathaniel Irish. Survivors include his son, Travis and wife Christie Irish of Cozad; grandchildren, Aubrea and husband Jade Janssen of Litchfield, Jercey and Boston Irish of Cozad; great grandson, Ryker Janssen of Litchfield; brothers, Ed Irish of North Platte, Ben Irish of North Platte; sisters, Rhonda Stephens of Gothenburg, Cindy Irish of North Platte, Trudy Delgado of Sterling, CO, Judy Vanderpool of TN; and many other nieces, nephews and extended family. Services will be Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel with Matt Irish officiating. Burial will follow at Cozad Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1 to 8 with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 at Berryman Funeral Home.
