Fred J. Malcom

Fred J. Malcom of Cozad passed away June 12, 2017 at the Cozad Community Hospital at the age of 76. Fred was born May 29, 1941 at Cozad, Nebraska to Charles and Dorthy (Hickenbottom) Malcom. On October 27, 1961 he married Dianna Mason at Lexington, Nebraska. The couple was blessed with 2 children, Brenda and Randall. Fred was employed by Haymaker Feeds, Monroe Auto, CBI and Island Dehy. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, working on crossword puzzles and watching Husker Football. Fred was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dianna in 2014. Survivors include his children, Randall Malcom and Brenda Malcom both of Cozad; brother-in-law, James Mason of Bremerton, WA; nieces, Julie and Laura; and many other relatives. Cremation was chosen.
