Irene D. Regosh

Irene D. Regosh of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away February 22, 2017 at Mountain View Hospital in Las Vegas at the age of 96. Irene was born July 12, 1920 at Chicago, Illinois to Ignatus and Josephine (Gajewski) Gabriel. She attended Catholic High School in Chicago. Irene was Secretary for American College of Surgeons in Chicago following graduation from high school. She met Robert Regosh while working at the college. They were married on October 9, 1948. One daughter was born to this union, Denise. After Denise was born, Irene stayed home to take care of her. She remained a stay at home mother until Denise graduated high school and then went to work as a librarian at the Niles Public Library until her retirement. In July of 1992, Irene and Robert moved to Las Vegas to enjoy their retirement. She working on crafts, quilting was her favorite. Irene was an avid reader and loved watching Turner Classic Movies. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 6 sisters and 1 brother. Survivors include her daughter, Denise (Greg) Rasmussen of Cozad; grandsons, Robert Rasmussen of Hayes, KS and Lee (Michele) Rasmussen of Fremont, NE. A memorial has been established in her memory. Interment will follow at Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, Nebraska. Berryman Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
