Mary Ann Stefani

Mary Ann Stefani of Cozad, passed away January 10, 2017 at her home at the age of 68. Mary Ann was born January 15, 1948 to Richard and Bonnie (Becker) Stefani at Mare Island, California. The family moved to Hershey, Nebraska and Mary graduated from Hershey High School with the class of 1966. Following graduation, Mary Ann moved to Lincoln and worked at St. Elizabeth's Hospital and then Great Plains Hospital in North Platte. She married Rick Martin and were blessed with a daughter, Stacey. Mary Ann attended Southeast Community College in Lincoln and obtained an Associates Degree as a surgery technician. She was at St. Elizabeth's Hospital until her retirement in July of 2014. Mary Ann loved spending time outdoors and gardening. She enjoyed scuba diving, canoeing, dancing and cooking. Mary Ann was a faithful member of her church and helped with CCD. She volunteered at After Zone, read to children at the public library and was in a book club. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents; and uncle, Gene Ingram. Survivors include her daughter, Stacey (Jeff Anderson) Martin of Hershey; sister, Kathleen Stefani of Tomball, TX; grandchildren, Stefani (Benny Alamea) Martin of Lincoln and Charlie Robinson of North Platte; a great granddaughter on the way, Sofia Ann Alamea; aunt, Elizabeth Ingram of Lincoln; extended family, Charlie (Chelsey Anderson) Martin and Emmy Lee Martin; and many other relatives and friends. Rosary will be recited Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church followed by a memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. with Father Mike Pampara as celebrant. Cremation was chosen. Those wishing to sign the memorial book may do so on Friday from 9 to 5 at Berryman Funeral Home.
