Sharon K. Batie

Sharon K. Batie of Cozad passed away February 21, 2016 at Hilltop Estates in Gothenburg at the age of 76. Sharon was born on February 15, 1940 at Cozad, Nebraska to Frank and Dessie (Rakestraw) Batie. She graduated from Cozad High School and worked at Nebraska Plastics for many years. Sharon was a faithful and devoted member of the Presbyterian Church. Her most treasured times were spent with family, especially her nieces and nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; and 2 sisters, Patsy Roenfeldt and Faythe Batie. She is lovingly survived by her niece, Wendy (Jason Last) Loving of North Platte; 3 nephews, Scott (Yvette) Roenfeldt of Denver, Todd Roenfeldt of Chadron and Nick (Brandy) Roenfeldt of Imperial; niece-in-law, Angie (Roger) Johnson of Montrose, CO; 7 great nephews and 3 great nieces; 1 great-great nephew and 1 great-great niece. Memorials are suggested to the Presbyterian Church or to the family for later designation. Online condolences may be shared at berrymanfuneralhome.com. Services will be held Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church in Cozad with Ethel Fox officiating. Private burial will be held prior to the service at the Cozad Cemetery. Those wishing to sign the register book may do so on Friday from 1 to 5 at Berryman Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
