Darin Blomquist

Darin L. Blomquist of Gothenburg, passed away September 30, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney at the age of 48. Darin was born April 25, 1967 at Kearney, Nebraska to Roger and Carol (Gillming) Blomquist. He spent most of his life in Southern California, and had recently moved back to Nebraska. Darin was a loving father to his son, Darin, Jr. He was a very social person, and enjoyed keeping in touch with his family and friends through text messages. He loved loud music and his pitbull, Spike. He was preceded in death by his father, Roger; step-mother Kay; and step-sister, Shadow. Survivors include his son, Darin Blomquist of California; mother Carol Gillming of California; brother Keith Blomquist (Joann) of Gothenburg; step-sisters, Billie (Tim) Land of Cozad, Bobbie (Moy) Samayoa of Lexington and Angel Poore of Cozad; step-brother, William Kostman, Jr. of Cozad; and many loving step nieces and nephews. Cremation was chosen. There will be a private family memorial service. Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad is in charge of arrangements.
