Richard C. Harvey

Richard 'R.C'. Harvey, age 66 of Lexington, passed away Friday, May 8, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. He was born December 27, 1948 at Lexington, Nebraska to Robert and Emma (Guyle) Harvey. Richard attended school in Cozad, and then went to the Job Corp at Chadron, Nebraska. He entered the U.S. Navy in 1969 and served aboard the USS Kitty Hawk, completing an 8 month deployment to Vietnam. Following his honorable discharge from the military, Richard returned to Lexington, Nebraska and worked for Hay Mills in Dawson County. He loved playing the guitar, and was quite skilled with electronics. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother Jerry. Survivors include sisters, Terri, Annette, Roberta, Julia, Lisa and Teresa; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Online condolences may be shared at berrymanfuneralhome.com. Cremation was chosen. A graveside inurnment will be held Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, Nebraska. Berryman Funeral Home in Cozad is in charge of arrangements.
