Sharon Kaye Hill, 68, of Cozad, Nebraska, passed away on Monday, March 16 2015. Sharon was born December 20, 1946 in Kearney, Nebraska to Glen C. and Jeanne A. (Day) Stevens. She spent her childhood in the Miller area, attending schools in Amherst and Sumner. On April 18, 1969 she married Dennis Hill of Arcadia, NE. The couple resided in the Arcadia area for several years, moving to Cozad in 1981 where she spent over 30 years working in manufacturing. She enjoyed fishing, sewing, cooking, home shopping, and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Dennis Leroy Hill; two sons, Douglas Daake and wife, Brooke of Broken Bow, NE; and Doyle Daake and his wife, Pam of Smithfield, NE; a daughter, Denise (Hill) Schwarz, husband Charlie of Lexington, NE; 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren. Additional survivors include sisters Donna Williams, husband Raymond of Chapman, NE. Helen Stevens of Omaha, NE. Brothers Glen C. Stevens, wife Joanne of Cozad, NE Gene Stevens, wife Di of Diboll, TX. LeRoy Stevens, wife Peg of Sumner, NE. In addition, she leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Jeanne Stevens, in-laws, Wayne and Neola Hill, a brother Joseph Stevens and grandson, Joshua Colt Daake. Services will be held Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel in Cozad with Rev. William Ohlmann officiating. Burial will be at the Cozad Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, March 20, 2015 from 1 - 8 p.m. at Berryman Funeral Home. The family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
