Wayne Hoffman

C. Wayne Hoffman passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Mother Hull Home in Kearney at the age of 92. Wayne was born May 26, 1922 at Grant, Nebraska to Earl E. and Hazel M. (Chingren) Hoffman. Wayne graduated from Perkins County High School. On March 20, 1946, he married Genise Sexson in Grant. The couple was blessed with 3 children, Tom, Steve and Mary. He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Hazel; wife Genise, and brother Earl. Survivors include sons, Tom (Patty) Hoffman of Ankeny, IA; Steve (Mariellen) Hoffman of Aurora, CO and daughter Mary (Ken) George of Kearney; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Sunday, July 20, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Cozad United Methodist Church with Pastor Doug Smith officiating. Those wishing to sign the memorial book may do so on Friday, July 18, 2014 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Berryman Funeral Home.
