Glen R Smith

Glen R. Smith, age 57 of Gothenburg, passed away March 18, 2014 at Gothenburg Memorial Hospital as a result of an auto accident North of Gothenburg. Glen was born June 1, 1956 to Ed and Virginia (Putnam) Smith at Gothenburg, Nebraska.   Glen was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. Glen was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers Edward and Donald.  Survivors include brothers, Bill (Kay) of Lexington, Jim (Elly) of Gothenburg and Larry of Cozad; sisters, Betty (Barry) Strasburg of Hayes Center and Sandy (Wade) Stear of Hendley; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.A memorial has been established in his memory.  Services will be Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel with Larry Viter officiating.  Visitation will be held prior to service time from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Berryman Funeral Home.  A private family inurnment will be at a later date.  Online condolences may be shared at berrymanfuneralhome.com
